codomomental bulletin #11

It’s now official – Seireki13ya’s return is announced for November 25.

No matter how much I cried and no matter how much pain I felt, I’m glad I protected Seireki13ya, and now I can finally return the group to you🌟🌈
This is by no means a start from scratch. All those memories, accomplishments, and your feelings – I will carry them into the future and rush forward again!

Look forward to the new Seireki13ya💫
November 25! I hope for your support🌟

“Keeping something going” is an incredibly great thing. Komochi, who year after year strived to pursue Megumi, somehow miraculously ended up in ZKS. And now someone who, in turn, strived to pursue Komochi has ended up in “Seireki.” We become ourselves and meet you. And I don’t care if it’s a birthday party or not, anyway, it’s something the staff stubbornly organizes every year. Instead, I want you to come and see the story continue.

I made up the setlist for the Seireki13ya perfomance on the way back from Akita/Iwate. Komochi was sitting right behind me. And Megumi was sitting next to her. And I thought it can be said that literally everything I do is done for moments like that.

Zenbu Kimi no Sei da published the cover art for their upcoming album “MeidaiShingi.” The album title is written in katakana and does not have an unambiguous translation on its own, but the cover also contains two versions of its kanji spelling. The first version of the title is “命題真偽”, where the first word, “命題” (“Meidai”), means some sort of theory or judgement, and “真偽” (“Shingi”) means “true or false”. The second version of the spelling itself makes little sense, because there are simply no words with such combinations of characters in the Japanese language, but considering the fact that both spellings are shown as mirror reflections, it seems that the second spelling to complement the first one. Where in the first spelling “命題” (“Meidai”, “theory or judgement”), in the second – “鳴題” – the character for “life” (“命”) was replaced by the character for “cry” (“鳴”). It is noteworthy that a similar trick was already present in the spelling of the group’ milestone song “Kakumei Zenya” (“night before the revolution”) where the character for “life” (“命”) in the word “Kakumei” (“革命”, “revolution”) was replaced with the character for “cry” (“革命” -> “革鳴”). The second word of the first spelling, “真偽” (“true or false”) corresponds to “心戯” (heart/soul and frolics) from the second spelling. Obviously, you can come up with many interpretations of the title, such as that any judgment of the album is both true and false – you can accept and interpret it however you like, but the album definitely has desperate feelings (鳴), soul (心) and frolics (戯) in it.

“MeidaiShingi” – what’s the point? Or maybe there is no point at all?
As always, not forgetting the important things, introducing even more frolics, raising even more hands. I’ll be glad if you purchase the album.

There were also three online release events announced to mark the album’s release:

November 9 at 7:30 p.m. (JST) – Day 0
November 15th at 7:30 p.m. (JST) – Day 1
November 28th at 7:30 p.m. (JST) – Day 2

So, it will be possible to watch the performances of the new songs a week before the album’s release.

Meanwhile, information regarding akugi’s upcoming album, “Bias-Blur”, has already started popping up in online stores.

Firstly, the album will feature Kisaragi Megumi, Motochika Kasane, Shizuku Fufu, Mei Yui Mei, Kotetsu, Nene Komochi, Noa Rondo, Arya, Nonamera, Kagari Kohaku Sekai, Mary Lust and Yuzuriha Ouhi as featured artists. Secondly, syva, HyperVideo2, Dopamine and Nobuhide Imamura are listed as songwriters. Thirdly, music videos for three songs on the album are planned: “BNZK feat. Kisaragi Megumi/Motochika Kasane”, “night watch – Kotetsu with akugi”, and a song whose title is currently unknown.

A special online event called “codomomental Сulture Festival DIGITAL” was held on October 27, featuring Zenbu Kimi no Sei da, KAQRIYOTERROR and TOKYO TEFUTEFU.

The event began with a mutual cover session. TOKYO TEFUTEFU covered “KimiOmoiHanaChirinu” by Zenbu Kimi no Sei da, KAQRIYOTERROR covered “tokyo tragedy” by TOKYO TEFUTEFU, and Zenbu Kimi no Sei da covered “Oblivion” by KAQRIYOTERROR.

Next, there was a “history lesson” where Nobuhide Imamura, the head of codomomental, told the history of the company from its beginnings to the present day. Some interesting facts from his story:

– Nobuhide Imamura had already mentioned in an interview that originally Zenbu Kimi no Sei da had an additional member who left the group before it debuted for family reasons. Anyway, this member had a green color and her weapon (?) was pills.
– The hard sound and image of Kaqriyo Terror Architect were not planned like that from the beginning. It can be seen from the first songs of the group – initially the director wanted to do something like that, but he was not satisfied with the result, and with the arrival of Maro he changed the concept of the group.
– When Kasane auditioned for codomomental, the director originally wanted to put her in “Zenkimi”, but for a while hesitated and thought about putting her in TOKYO TEFUTEFU. So there’s probably a parallel universe where Kasane is a member of “Tefutefu” (along with the universes where Shiki Towa and Chimura Shifumi got into “Zenkimi”).

Then there was a little crazy quiz, in which Mei won, requesting her favorite roast beef as a prize.

After that, the members divided into three groups: singers, gluttons, and people of culture. The singers performed first:

Chimura Shifumi performed a cover of “Tsumi to Batsu” by Sheena Ringo.
Yuzuriha Ouhi performed a cover of the famous vocaloid hit “Romeo and Cinderella.”
Noa Rondo performed a cover of “韻波句徒 / THE FIRST TAKE” by CHEHON.
Nene Komochi performed a cover of “SAKURA BURST” by Cö shu Nie.
Mei Yui Mei performed a cover of “Pray” by Haruka Chisuga (the ending of her favorite anime “Satsuriku no Tenshi”).

Then came the gluttons. Arya presented everyone her favorite sweets, Tokanai Nonno with Mary Lust dressed as maids gave a master class in making onigiri (the secret ingredient is love, otherwise it won’t taste good), and Kasane with Kotetsu talked about their favorite meals that they tasted while touring all over Japan.

Then came the people of culture. Kagari Kohaku Sekai presented a yukata that she made herself (in case you didn’t know, she made TOKYO TEFUTEFU’s current costumes), Komari Yuu with Nonamera prepared special outfits and hairstyles for each other, and Kisaragi Megumi with Shizuku Fufu showed everyone their Asuka and Rei cosplay and even made a little artistic video featuring it.

Judging from a Nonamera’s talk stream, the next solo release from the girl shouldn’t be expected until March at the earliest.

It might be late to say this, but Yuu-cha, Rondo, thank you so much for accepting me😭
And Arya helps me out so much all the time😭

And thank you all too😭 Love~

I wanted to convey it to you all properly.

At a time when there’s often no clear answer, I’ve always felt that it’s very important to me that I have a past that I cherish. What is Zenbu Kimi no Sei da? It is no one, and at the same time someone.
Probably something that gets stronger and duller with time also captures in itself something important.

I was walking down the street listening to the same track for 40 minutes. A new miracle has emerged in our path, and I can bring something new to the world once again. Even of all the things I’ve been working on in recent years, this is one of the most joyous, beautiful and touching things. Expect something you haven’t seen before.
