Last week there was a talk livestream with Komari Yuu where she and the staff talked about the past and future of KAQRIYOTERROR¹. Here are some interesting details from the stream:

– In bulletin #19, I already mentioned that the members initially decided to disband the group. According to Komari, this was decided about a month before the official announcement. But at that time, the group continued to give concerts, and in the process of performing and communicating with the fans, the girl realized that she wanted to continue. She was touched by how excited the fans were about the group’s performances and how they supported the group, and she decided that she didn’t want to take away their beloved place, which for many had already become something very important. At first, she thought it was too late to change anything since everything had already been decided, but the staff accepted her decision with enthusiasm. According to Komari, she decided to tell them about her decision just a couple of days before the planned announcement of the dissolution.

This is something I decided on my own. I said I would protect KAQRIYOTERROR, and so I’m going to continue to protect and push the group forward and try hard! I hope for your support!

– The audition for new group members has been announced (the deadline for applications is May 31). However, KAQRIYOTERROR will not go on hiatus because Komari doesn’t want to stop. So she will probably perform solo (even though it will be pretty sad for her), and the new lineup is also planned to start as soon as possible.

KAQRIYOTERROR, whose motto is “bans are taboo”. The group has released numerous releases that have electronic music at their core but do not fit into any genre, and travels around the country in tours, release events, and collaborative concerts.
Always looking for something new in terms of performances, never stopping to find new challenges, KAQRIYOTERROR is only looking for those who are really motivated to be a part of it. Experience is totally irrelevant. If you are motivated enough, both the staff and the members will work together to support your growth.

– The staff asked the fans to support Komari as well as the new iteration of KAQRIYOTERROR and to understand that things will never be the same again because no one can replace the members who left. Therefore, fans are urged not to compare the new look of the group to what it was before and to see it as something completely different.

Working on the costumes for the “Kaqriyo” girls was an incredibly important job for me.

TOKYO TEFUTEFU held a two-hour preview of the lead song from the group’s upcoming single, “LYCORisALIVE,” during which the members shared their feelings about the song.

This is our story with you. It’s a song about our determination to move forward together. The five of us are here and that’s why we can sing this song now.⁵

I consider it a miracle that the five of us and the ‘mirages’, who were born in different places and went our separate ways, were able to meet here.
And I really want to cherish that.⁶

I wrote “LYCORisALIVE”, a new TOKYO TEFUTEFU song that was released yesterday for two hours🫡.

Isn’t it a masterpiece????
I’ve been working on it in the winter, but I was drenched in sweat.

Both the lyrics and the vocals are great.

I’m glad that so many people shared their impressions!

The release date is May 17th.

It is worth noting that a quite unusual artistic trick was used in the lyrics. The Japanese language is famous for the fact that characters and whole words can be read in different ways, giving the lyrics additional meanings and implications. For example, in this song there is the word “Tokyo” where the second character was changed so that it reads the same as before – “Tokyo”, but the literal translation of the characters added another meaning: “Oriental Madness”. Such a trick is quite common in codomomental lyrics, but this time it went beyond individual characters and words: the phrase “our smiles, yours and mine” in the lyrics is actually performed as “Dazzle” (and this is an intentional mismatch, there is no grammatical justification for it). You can read the full translation of the lyrics below:

Yesterday there was an Instagram livestream with Nobuhide Imamura¹⁹. In it, the head of codomomental didn’t say anything particularly important, but just shared his thoughts about the recent events in codomomental and expressed his gratitude to the people involved and the fans for the recent important concerts of the codomomental groups. Nevertheless, he assured that he will have a YouTube livestream soon (maybe even today) where he will answer questions and make some announcements.

Meanwhile, Seireki13ya is teasing some kind of announcement scheduled for May 8th²⁰.
